Dr. Pranav Vyas, CFMP, FIAMA, DC

Functional Medicine & Hormone Specialist

20+ Years of Clinical Practice

Dr. Pranav Vyas has devoted over 20 years to helping patients uncover the underlying factors behind their health, whether that's hormonal imbalance, thyroid dysfunction, digestive issues, autoimmune conditions, diabetes, or the complex interactions between them that conventional care often misses.

He primarily helps women 35 and older who come to him after feeling unheard by care that managed their symptoms without identifying what was driving them. Many have been through multiple providers, been told their labs look normal, and are ready for a more thorough investigation.

Dr. Vyas addresses this through a personalized functional medicine approach that considers how hormones, nutrition, lifestyle, genetics, and environment interact—building care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, never a standard protocol.

The Philosophy Behind His Practice

Dr. Vyas's approach was shaped long before his clinical training began. Growing up in a household that valued nutrition, natural remedies, and whole-person wellness, he developed an early appreciation for how lifestyle shapes long-term health.

That belief became personal as he watched the women in his family struggle with thyroid conditions, hormonal concerns, and years of conflicting advice—their symptoms minimized, their questions unanswered. It reinforced a conviction he carries into every patient relationship: women deserve to be heard, thoughtfully evaluated, and cared for with empathy.

Functional medicine gave him the clinical framework to put that conviction into practice. To Dr. Vyas, real care doesn't end with a prescription; it ends when the patient understands why she feels better and how to maintain that progress with confidence.

Heard.

Understood.

Guided.

Empowered.

Personalized Online Care: What to Expect

Dr. Vyas provides secure 1:1 virtual consultations for patients across the US and worldwide, with the same thorough, patient-centered approach without the need for travel or time spent in a waiting room.

Every consultation begins with a detailed review of your health history, symptoms, and previous lab work. When needed, he recommends additional testing across hormonal, thyroid, adrenal, metabolic, and gut health markers — interpreted against optimal ranges, not just broad reference ranges.

You'll leave with a clear explanation of what's driving your symptoms and a personalized plan built around your findings, lifestyle, and goals. Lab kits can be shipped to eligible locations worldwide where courier delivery is available.

Virtual care doesn't mean less thorough care. It means the same clinical rigor, on your schedule, from wherever you are.

A Commitment to Every Patient

Dr. Vyas is committed to care that is thorough, patient-centered, and grounded in evidence-informed medicine. That means listening carefully, looking beyond routine lab results, and taking symptoms seriously — even when previous answers have fallen short.

Every recommendation is guided by a complete understanding of the individual’s full health profile, not a standard protocol.

His goal is for every patient to leave with greater clarity about what's affecting their health, confidence in their care plan, and the knowledge to support lasting wellness long after treatment ends.

Educating Beyond the Clinic

Dr. Vyas extends his practice well beyond the clinic through a social media community of more than 600,000 followers and podcast appearances, including the Fit Woman Podcast, sharing evidence-informed insights on hormone health, thyroid function, metabolic health, stress, sleep, and functional medicine.

His goal is to explain complex topics with clarity and accuracy without oversimplifying the science or adding to the noise.

Whether speaking with one patient or reaching thousands online, his standard is the same: well-informed patients are better equipped to make confident, lasting decisions about their health.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Get clear answers before you book.

What type of training did you receive?

I am a Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) and Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), with my doctorate from National University of Health Sciences. My doctoral training included comprehensive study in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, blood chemistry, neurology, pharmacology, and clinical diagnosis. My post-doctoral focus is in functional medicine and clinical nutrition, specializing in advanced laboratory testing, botanical medicine, and evidence-based lifestyle counseling to identify and address the root causes of chronic health concerns.

Are you a medical doctor?

No. I am a Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) and Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), with my doctorate from National University of Health Sciences. While my doctoral training covered many of the same biological and diagnostic sciences as medical school, my practice focus is different. Rather than diagnosing or treating disease in the conventional medical sense, I work to identify the root causes of chronic symptoms—including hormonal imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, digestive concerns, autoimmune conditions, and metabolic health—using advanced lab testing, clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, and lifestyle interventions.

Do you prescribe medications?

No. My scope of practice focuses on natural, drug-free therapies. I do not prescribe pharmaceutical drugs or controlled substances. I use advanced laboratory testing, clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, and targeted lifestyle modifications to address the underlying causes of your symptoms. If you're currently taking prescription medications, I'll evaluate them for potential nutrient depletions or interactions with your natural protocols. Any changes to existing prescriptions must be managed by your prescribing physician. My role is to work alongside your medical team, not replace it.

Do you accept insurance?

No. We do not bill health insurance, including Medicare. Functional medicine typically involves longer consultations, personalized care, and depth of testing that aren't covered by most insurance plans. Upon request, we can provide an itemized superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Some services may also be eligible through HSA or FSA accounts; we recommend checking with your provider.

Do you work with patients outside the United States?

Yes. I work with patients internationally through secure virtual consultations, providing the same depth of clinical evaluation and 1:1 attention as an in-person visit, without the travel.

For patients requiring comprehensive lab testing, test kits can be shipped to eligible international locations where courier delivery is available. If shipping isn't available in your area, I'll work with you to identify local testing options and interpret those results as part of your care plan.

How long will my wellness journey take?

This depends on how long your symptoms have been present, the complexity of your imbalances, how your body responds to treatment, and your commitment to the lifestyle changes involved.

Chronic conditions develop over years, and true resolution is gradual. Most patients notice meaningful improvements within three to six months, though complex hormonal, autoimmune, or gut imbalances may require a year or longer.

During your consultation, I'll provide a realistic assessment based on your individual case rather than a one-size-fits-all estimate.

How much will functional medicine cost?

The cost varies depending on the level of testing needed, the number of consultations, and the scope of your care plan.

During your initial consultation, I'll explain which tests and follow-up appointments are appropriate for your situation, along with the associated costs.

My goal is to ensure you understand your options before deciding how to move forward.

How can I know if I am a good candidate for functional medicine?

Functional medicine may be a good fit if your symptoms persist despite your current care, you've been told your lab results are normal but still don't feel well, or you're looking for a more comprehensive evaluation of hormone, thyroid, digestive, metabolic, or autoimmune concerns.

It also works best for people who are willing to take an active role in their nutrition, sleep, stress management, and daily habits.

If you're unsure whether your symptoms may be hormone-related, the free Hormone Quiz is a simple place to start.

How do I know if Dr. Vyas is the right fit for me?

My practice is best suited for patients seeking a comprehensive, personalized approach to chronic health concerns rather than symptom management alone.

I primarily work with women navigating perimenopause, menopause, thyroid disorders, metabolic concerns, autoimmune conditions, and digestive issues, particularly those who haven't found lasting answers through conventional care.

If that describes your experience, the free Hormone Quiz is a helpful first step, or book a consultation to get started.
